Netgear routers allow multiple computers to share a common internet connection from your internet service provider such as cable, DSL input, etc. On the other hand, there are different types of Netgear routers which consist of Wi-Fi bands around the bandwidth of 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band and 5.0GHz Wi-Fi band. Some routers provide firewalls, considering protection against hacking into your network. It consists of active built-in antennas because they have amplifiers right inside the antenna itself, instead of the router. This has a couple of advantages such as, it can reduce interference, it can extend the range of the wi-fi, it can increase the speed and allow to connect you to more devices on your home network.
